Community Relations
Stakeholder Engagement
A key objective of the Alaska Pipeline Project is to achieve positive, long-term relationships with communities that may be affected by the project. The project's approach to building these relationships is to conduct engagement activities in a meaningful way that fully supports the spirit of collaboration.
To date, the Alaska Pipeline Project has conducted over 70 community meetings in Alaska and Canada to share information about the project and understand issues related to project development.
Community Investment
The Alaska Pipeline Project's Community Investment program provides project funding to non-profit and governmental organizations as well as business and trade associations.
To date, the Alaska Pipeline Project has sponsored over 30 projects, programs and events in Alaska and Canada. We have continuously supported organizations dedicated to economic development and cultural heritage, such as Yukon Quest, the Alaska Federation of Natives, the Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous and the Resource Development Council.
