On April 30, 2010, the Alaska Pipeline Project commenced the first natural gas pipeline open season in the history of Alaska's North Slope development. View the project's press release announcing this milestone.

The Alaska Pipeline Project team is actively advancing all aspects of the project's development and on April 30, 2010, commenced the first open season process in the history of Alaska's North Slope development. This is a major milestone, and will allow potential shippers the opportunity to assess project information and determine their interest in making long term commitments to reserve capacity on the pipeline.
